Bill and Caitlin are starting their training in as different ways as you could. One is coming off a surgery and dealing with a little post rehab and the other is running in the Northeast and all that that entails. We also chat about traditions in and around the holidays. Enjoy!
Ellie, Priscilla, and Lauren catch up after a couple weeks of training for their first ultra. We talk about holiday traditions. A fun call to get to know everyone better. Enjoy.
What a cool tandem. Ashleigh works at a running store and is ready to get some legit street cred. Grace is a recovery room nurse in NY who has used running for mental health and respite through these times. Enjoy the show!
Ian gets to meet his runners for Season 9 for the first time. Brian and Carly combine for over 20 marathons but what happens when they shoot for their first ever ultra! Hailing from Georgia and South Dakota both runners will have different looking training but it should be a great season nonetheless. Enjoy the show!
Ellie meets the two runners she will be guiding to their first ultra! Both runners hail from the west coast! Enjoy getting to know them and the challenges they are about to take on!
We may have found the two further points in the lower 48 in the locations of these two Season 9 runners. One is coming off of a Morton's Neuroma surgery and a lost opportunity for playing in the international Australian Rules Football competition. The other is coming off consistent running and a life change years ago that included losing 60 pounds. Enjoy getting to know them!
Runners from all over the country applied for the Becoming Ultra Project's Season 9 where runners will be coached by some of the best in the industry on their way to their first ultra at Smith Rock Ascent 50k in Oregon with Go Beyond Racing. The selection show is where the coaches go through the applications and choose the runners for the main project. There are many other ways to get to your first ultra though so be sure to reach out if you are looking to reach big goals this year!
Whitney and Amanda trained over the last 5 months diligently. They had the same coach, Scott, and ran from his house in an epic first 50k in the snow. They even ended up running the whole dang race together. Hear in their words what the experience was like!
