Krystal is only a week away from her first 50 miler after training for 6 months. The last week is comprised of nerves and "what if's" but staying true to yourself is as important as any training. Liza and Krystal come to talk about something that every runner struggles with. Figuring out an answer when your friends, many of them not runners, want to know how long your race is going to take you. Having the right goal before you go into the race is important as is being able to tell crew and family/friends about when to expect you. We also go over Krystal's training for the last couple weeks. Enjoy Becoming Ultra. Note: At 12 minute mark Liza squeeled. We don't think her cat was harmed but we have no evidence either way. It is, however, pretty funny.

How do you set expectations? When you you kindly tell them you are going to go it alone? These questions and more with Ian Sharman and his runner Janet on the Becoming Ultra show!

We met the co-founder of 33 Shake, Warren Pole, by introduction from an endurance athlete doing some pretty amazing things. Luke Tyburski had just completed the Ultimate Triathlon using the natural nutrition product from Warren's company so we were definitely interested in learning more. So, the first step in deciding on what brands to work with, especially in the nutrition space, is answering the simplest question of all, does it taste good? We have tried some nasty stuff and since 98% of runners are running to enjoy it, choking down nastiness is not an option for us. 33 Shake passed! We loved it. We hope you will give it a try too! Be sure to hit up BecomingUltra.com for our partner discount. This is our introduction show for the new and hopefully longstanding relationship with 33 Shake. Enjoy!
